The Prettiest Girls Wear Purple and Pearls!
About Tri-Sigma
Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority was founded on April 20, 1898 at Longwood College in Farmville, Virginia by eight women: Margaret Batten, Louise Davis, Martha Trent Featherson, Isabella Merrick, Sallie Michie, Lelia Scott, Elizabeth Watkins, and Lucy Wright. They were looking for many of the same things you probably are looking for in a sorority-friendship, leadership opportunities, involvement in campus activities, and a support group while preparing for life after college. Thus, they envisioned the National Sisterhood of Sigma Sigma Sigma. The circle of friendship that began in the 1800's, with eight women sharing a common experience, now encompasses more than 80,000 women all over the globe. The growth and change that occured in the many decades past did not and never will change the first and founding initiative of the organization. Sigma Sigma Sigma continues to uphold the ideals of love, friendship, and sisterhood that it long ago established. Sigmas around the world have made their promise of sisterhood to be and always remain...."Faithful Unto Death."
